Agree, the original timeline was impossible. Meeting had to be moved up...
I've heard she's received a lot of flack for that and I don't understand it.
If they kept the original timeline, there would be less than a week for parents to decide whether to move to in-person or remote, then teachers rosters have to be adjusted accordingly either adding or removing students, then each teacher has to do a completely new layout in their classroom since everyone now has double the students and that's just to start. Even the current schedule is very ambitious. And, I'm told there is no set schedule yet for start time and end time (could be wrong, but my wife's school has not been told what the new full time schedule will be).
Personally, from what I've been told and whispers I've heard, it sounds like this meeting was more of a formality and there was expectations for weeks that the students would be back in the classroom full time other than Wednesdays.
